“The Nashville and The L.A. Studio Series guitars are built for the working musicians and artists who require optimal tone, versatility and performance without the boutique price.”
-Bill Asher
The design of Asher Studio Series guitars are inspired by some of L.A. and Nashville's top session players who have made modifications to their recording guitars. The Nashville is inspired by Brent Mason's Tele which is modified with a Strat middle and Firebird neck pickup. The Los Angeles has an added Gotoh 510 Trem, with single/single/humbucker pickups and series-parallel switch for the humbucker. These mods are common for many current L.A. session players such as Steve Lukather, Mike Landau, Buzz Feiten, Allen Hinds and Prashant Aswani.
The Asher Studio Series guitars offer solid playability and beautifully aged "thin skin" nitro light relic finishes. They perform at the highest levels on stage and in the studio! Without all the fancy bindings, figured woods, and artsy inlay, the Studio Series guitars have their own unique pared down look as well as a pared down price! Unlike other Asher guitars, the Studio Series cannot be customized and come as shown here - on occasion we will adjust colors but we cannot take requests!
